I came across Tanya’s bio on Linkedin searching for mental health speakers for our spring JEE (Jora Educational Event). The event was aimed at promoting awareness of mental health and its impact on wellbeing. Tanya’s story aligned well with our mission. She was quick to respond to our request, after a virtual meeting she agreed to travel to Belfast for the event. It was just a pleasure to work with her and meet her in person. She is an amazing and very articulate speaker. Her story resonated well to the audience. She was a perfect fit for the mental health awareness programme. She easily connected with her co-speakers and her audience. Her story about her challenges and how she overcame in time and the her journey to make a difference is truly inspiring. The feedback from a member in the audience was that it gave them conditional to talk about their mental health challenges and gave them practical tips on how to navigate this. I would recommend Tanya as great speaker for promoting mental health awareness especially among the youth.

Tanya and I worked worked together on delivering sessions on the topic of Racism and Mental health. We delivered these session as part of our work for West Sussex Mind. Tanya shared her story and was able to answer questions about her experience. Even tho the events were online, Tanya was able to connect with the participants and made it feel like more of a conversation rather than a training session. It was a pleasure to work alongside Tanya and we felt comfortable working alongside each other. In the session we were able to bounce ideas and points of each other. She is an inspiration and I would highly recommend her. I look forward to working with her again if the opportunity arises.

Having Tanya on the show reminded me of why I even created the radio show in the first place, I wanted to create a safe place where I could have candid and encouraging conversations with various women from different ethnic backgrounds to discuss their mental health journeys and what it means to be mentally well. Tanya has achieved this but on a much larger scale reaching out to hundreds battling illnesses such as depression or anxiety but they don't know where or whom to turn or feel they can't ask for help this is very common in the South Asian community so the fact is that. Tanya is bringing light on this and trying to actively change people's mindsets or perceptions on mental health actually means is truly remarkable. Her communication was clear and detailed I along with my listeners was able to feel a deep connection with her and her mental health journey and feel that they could relate to her struggles with masking her feelings and pretending everything is okay so from the episode I hope it gave someone the courage to reach to get professional help or maybe open up to their family or friends. Thank you Tanya for coming onto my radio show and educating myself and my listeners to be more aware and informed about mental illness and to check in on our loved ones and those around us. Keep up the amazing work Tanya.

I first met Tanya, personally, when she had just turned 20 years old and she was one of several inspiring speakers at our Hope for Life Conference in December 2021. So many people commented on the professional and calm demeanour Tanya displayed as she shared her own journey living with mental health and chronic physical illness and how she was using these experiences to help other young people who are also struggling. In October 2023, I was fortunate to work alongside Tanya again, as we were both invited by the suicide prevention listening charity, GibSams, to deliver talks to schools, workplaces and community groups in Gibraltar. During our 3 days in Gibraltar, we both were required to deliver several back-to-back talks during each day and into the evenings. Due to receiving full briefing information only 48 hours prior to departing the UK, Tanya's professionalism and preparation shone through again as each talk she delivered was enthusiastically received, including one to the Gibraltar Federation of Small Businesses (not a typical audience for Tanya) where she delivered a brilliant talk on what leaders need to consider when looking after the needs of Gen Z employees. Tanya, is a speaker who is capable of delivering a powerful message to any audience, in such an authentic way, that her talks will resonate with anyone who hears her speak for a long time afterwards.

We had Tanya come to Gibraltar in October 2023 for the GibSams Schools Mental Health Festival to support our events for World Mental Health Day. Tanya delivered a variety of talks over 3 days to various audiences, including: local politicians, school children, young adults, teachers, parents, NGO's, and corporate companies. Tanya was engaging and spoke to each audience really well and was able to connect with all the event attendees as well as local media.
